About Aliya

Aliya is a Registered Nutritionist (ANutr, AFN) with a BSc in Nutrition and an MSc in Chronic Disease Management, specialising in gut health, weight management, and metabolic health. She helps individuals—particularly those with obesity, diabetes, and gut-related issues—achieve long-term well-being through evidence-based nutrition, functional gut healing, and behavioural strategies.

With a strong focus on the gut, mental health, and weight management, Aliya explores the connection between nutrition, psychology, and behaviour change. Her master’s research examined how Islamic beliefs influence the use of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) in managing depression, anxiety, and PTSD in Muslim adults, deepening her understanding of how mindset affects health outcomes.

Through her platform, Nutrition with Aliya, she offers educational services, training programmes, and digital products to help individuals build a healthy, balanced relationship with food—without extreme restriction. Aliya believes nutrition should be enjoyable, not restrictive, and her approach is rooted in combining the latest scientific research with real-world strategies, she provides personalised guidance to support gut health, weight loss, and long-term lifestyle changes.
